The below mentioned substances or components must not be used without prior approval by IMRA America:

  • Antimony and its compounds
  • Azo dyes that can release carcinogenic amines
  • Arsenic and its compounds
  • Asbestos
  • Beryllium and its compounds
  • Lead and its compounds
  • Cadmium and its compounds
  • Chlorinated and fluorinated polymers (e.g. PVC, Teflon)
  • Chromium (VI) compounds
  • Chlorofluorocarbons used in material or during production
  • Substances or materials that release gaseous formaldehyde
  • Components that generate ozone values
  • Components that emit X-ray radiation
  • Nickel, except in steel alloys
  • Organic tin compounds (e.g. TBT, TPT)
  • Phthalates
  • Polybrominated bi- and terphenyls (PBB, PBT) and diphenyl ether (PBDE)
  • Polychlorinated bi- and terphenyls and naphthalene (PCB, PCT, PCN)
  • Polychlorinated diphenyl ether (PCDE)
  • Mercury and its compounds
  • Radioactive substances
  • Other halogenated flame retarders
  • Substances containing harmful organisms (insects / nematodes / funguses)
  • 4,4‘- Diaminodiphenylmethane
  • 5-tert-butyl-2,4,6-trinitro-m-xylene (musk xylene)
  • Alkanes, C10-13 chloro (short chain chlorinated paraffins)
  • Anthracene
  • Cobalt dichloride
  • Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) and all major diastereoisomers identified
