| Applications & Technical Notes
Femtosecond lasers have unique properties such as speed,
high-power, broad bandwidth, and short coherence length. These
properties enable a multitude of new applications in microscopy,
high-speed testing, metrology, medical imaging, micromachining and pulsed laser deposition for nanoparticles and thin-films, to name just a few.
IMRA's ultrafast fiber lasers serve as the “engine” that drive many
applications. At IMRA’s Application Research Laboratory (ARL), new applications
are being explored which will exploit the advantages of ultrafast laser technology.
