IMRA America appoints Kiyomi Monro as Director of Business Development, Marketing and Sales

ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 2,2007 — IMRA America, Inc. (IMRA), a global leader in the development of ultrafast fiber laser technologies for applications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kiyomi Monro as Director of Business Development, Marketing and Sales.

Mr. Monro comes to IMRA from Coherent where he was most recently Senior Product Marketing Manager for their diode-pumped solid state laser product lines and having previously served as Market Development Manager for the Asia Pacific Region. He has over 10 years of sales, marketing, and business development experience in the Semiconductor Industry, with additional experience in international sales and marketing in the Consumer Industry.

In his new position with IMRA, Mr. Monro’s responsibilities will include business development, focusing on industrial applications; product marketing for further commercialization of IMRA's core technologies; strategic marketing to identify major opportunities in ultrafast material processing; application development in emerging markets; and sales management.

Mr. Monro holds a Masters Degree in Economics from Boston University. He will relocate to Ann Arbor, Michigan to work from IMRA’s Headquarters.
