IMRA America launches the
Femtolite Ultra, the world’s most compact and robust ultrafast laser
ANN ARBOR, MI, October 12, 2004 —
IMRA America, Inc. announces today the introduction of the
Femtolite Ultra product
line. This state-of-the-art fiber laser is being debuted at the OSA Annual Meeting FRONTIERS IN OPTICS in Rochester, NY -
October 10-14, 2004 at booth #505.
In keeping with IMRA’s history of offering the most stable, reliable, turnkey ultrafast> oscillators to the scientific and
OEM marketplaces, the Femtolite Ultra family provides the ideal source for tight-space, demanding applications:
- Ultra compact size - 145mm x 98mm x 40mm
- Ultra robust design - tested to IEC standards for shock and vibration
- Ultra ease-of-use - plug-and-play, with no tweaking or special environmental requirements
With this series, IMRA expands its offering for seeding Ti:Sapphire regenerative amplifiers with the
sub-hundred femtosecond FX-10, centered at 800 nm wavelength. This not only has all of the high-performance
and reliability attributes of IMRA’s previous seeders, but also has an optimized spectrum to make its use
even more ideal for this application.

The Femtolite Ultra product line will be manufactured using the same extremely reliable production techniques
and facility which has been producing the standard Femtolite line of lasers for more than 5 years. Using the
latest generation of ultrafast fiber laser technology IMRA expects this laser to be even more reliable and robust
than its previous product offerings.
