IMRA America Announces Introduction of ™

ANN ARBOR, MI, February 15, 2006 —

 As part of its ongoing commitment to realize the potential of ultrafast fiber lasers and to maintain its leading position in the industry, IMRA America, Inc. announced the introduction of IMRACare™ at Photonics West 2006 in San Jose, California.

IMRACare ™ is a program that provides a level of post-sale customer support that is unparalleled in the ultrafast laser industry and includes free laser loaners, free installation and free on-site user training. IMRA is offering this program as a reflection of its confidence in the high reliability and ease of use that are inherent in their lasers as compared to competing technologies and companies.

A major feature of IMRACare ™ is the “24-Hour Back-Up” promise. Under “24-Hour Back-Up,” IMRA will maintain an inventory of its standard products that will be provided on loan without charge to customers in the unlikely event of product failure during the warranty period. This feature takes its name from IMRA’s commitment that lasers loaned will be shipped within 24 hours after the issuance of a Return Material Authorization for the laser under warranty.

Other features of IMRACare ™ include free “2-Hour Installation” and “User Training.” Under these aspects of the program, an IMRA Customer Service Engineer will install the newly purchased laser system at the customer’s site in two hours or less, and test the laser to ensure proper operation. During the installation visit, IMRA will also provide training to users on the operation and maintenance of the laser system.
